800.00 $ Volkswagen VW New Beetle 1.8 Turbo - Cool Car, Great Project! Saint Paul

I'm selling a 2001 Volkswagen New Beetle that will be a great car with a little bit of work.
I bought it to use the parts, but it's in better condition than I thought. It just needs a valve job/new head. The mechanic who last worked on it said there wasn't any sign of a blown head gasket, but there's low or no pressure in the cylinders. It might also need a new cam chain tensioner and either and adjustment or replacement of the timing belt.
It's loaded with some great options, including:
-- Heated black leather seats.
-- Monsoon sound system with a CD-changer in the hatch (There are iPod adapters for this connection).
-- 17" factory wheels with excellent tires on the rear and decent Pirellis on the front
-- An active/passive spoiler on the top of the rear hatch -- these are pretty cool!
The windows in the rear are tinted, so it looks great with the black-on-black exterior/leather package.
The body is in great condition and only has a tiny area or two of rust and a dent.
It has a sunroof, fog lights, and an automatic transmission. I believe it has about 175k miles.
The interior will need a few little things like the door panels fixed and the sliding sunroof shade put back on track.
You could also do a 5-speed or 6-speed transmission swap -- the 5-speed is a common mod.
This would be a great project for someone who likes turbo VWs/Audis! The U-Pull parts yards have several Beetles and more of these engines if you need any parts. A head is only $45 if you pull it yourself.
This will need to be towed.
